What a wonderful day of faith, fellowship, and friendly competition!
The 4th Annual BEC Inter-Zone Badminton Tournament 2026 was successfully held at Tops Arena, Empire Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras, bringing together BEC members as one family, one community through the spirit of sports.
The tournament was officially launched by our Parish Priest, Fr Paul Cheong, who led us in the opening prayer and encouraged everyone with an inspiring message. He reminded us that while competition brings excitement, the true victory is found in the friendships we build, the unity we share, and the joy of journeying together as one parish family.
This year's tournament featured 32 participants competing in 9 categories, with every match reflecting determination, respect, teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship. The event was made possible with the dedicated service of 7 umpires, including 2 umpires from Sacred Heart Church, whose support and commitment ensured the tournament ran smoothly.
Congratulations to all our champions and participants! The champions received a trophy and a hamper, while the first and second runners-up were each presented with a trophy in recognition of their outstanding achievements. More importantly, every participant was a winner for embracing the values of friendship, perseverance, and unity.
A special congratulations to Zone Understanding for emerging as the Overall Inter-Zone Champions of the 2026 tournament! May this achievement inspire all our BEC Zones to continue fostering teamwork, commitment, and unity in the years ahead.
On behalf of BECCOT, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our BECCOT Ignite Youth Lead, Calvina, and the entire organising committee for their tireless efforts in making this event a great success.
A special thank you to all our umpires, volunteers, supporters, families, and everyone who contributed in one way or another. Your generosity, dedication, and joyful presence made this tournament truly meaningful.
As we continue to build our Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) , may we always remember that every gathering is an opportunity to strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and glorify God through our gifts and talents.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we serve. Together, we are one family, one community.
