On 21/3, the Digital Ministry of St Francis of Assisi Church conducted a 4-hour intensive AI training session for our dedicated catechists at St Francis of Assisi Church.
This was not just a technology workshop. It was a mission-focused learning experience designed to empower those who teach the faith to communicate more effectively in a digital world.
The session covered the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, practical Prompt Engineering, and hands-on creation of presentation slides using AI tools. Participants also explored how to:
Generate meaningful images and videos
Produce voiceovers
Create music to enhance their lessons
An important segment on copyright ensured that everyone understands how to use AI responsibly and ethically in ministry.
What made the session impactful was the hands-on approach. Catechists did not just listen. They built, tested, refined, and experienced how AI can support their calling.
When faith and technology come together with purpose, we do not replace the human touch. We strengthen it. This is how we prepare our ministry for the future while staying rooted in our mission.
