What is Eucharistic Adoration?
When you reflect on this reality, it truly is incredible:
Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament, in prayer, in devotion and in contemplation, is exactly the same as spending time before the Living God.
Since the Last Supper, Catholics have believed that the bread and wine, once consecrated during Mass, are no longer merely baked wheat and fermented grape juice, but the actual Living Presence of Jesus.
Adoration occurs whenever someone comes and adores in front the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar which is exposed for adoration.
This practice of privately and publicly honoring the Presence of Jesus in the Consecrated Host (the Blessed Sacrament) is a way for believers to experience a deeper personal connection with Christ Jesus.
