Today’s session started with an opening prayer, followed by reading the Word of God & Reflection and doing a brain exercise to help prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits.
First, we explored different art materials and water techniques and enjoyed creating unique backgrounds on paper. Through this creative activity, we saw how art can be a meaningful way to pray, reflect, and grow spiritually. Sometimes art can say what words can’t, helping us open our hearts to God’s presence and bringing us closer to Him.
We then talked about last Sunday’s Gospel about the seeds and asked ourselves: What do we need to help us grow spiritually? and What kind of plant are we becoming in God’s garden? Just like a seed needs good soil, water, and care to grow, we also need faith, prayer, love, hope, and God’s grace to become fruitful disciples.
Making art together also helped us build a stronger sense of community. As we shared ideas, encouraged one another, and celebrated each person’s creativity, we grew closer as one family in Christ. Together, we continue to nurture our body, mind, and spirit, using art as a way to grow in faith, find healing, and strengthen our bonds as we journey together toward God.
