JUBILEE 2025 REFLECTION (4th Sunday of Lent)

𝟯𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 – 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹: 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟱:𝟭-𝟯, 𝟭𝟭-𝟯𝟮)

Luke 15:11-32 tells the 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗻, where a wayward son squanders his inheritance but is welcomed back with open arms by his merciful father, while his resentful older brother struggles to accept this grace. Jesus uses this story to illustrate God’s boundless mercy and the call to rejoice in the repentance and restoration of the lost.

As we continue our 𝗝𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, let us reflect:

“𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑎𝑚 𝐼 𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐺𝑜𝑑’𝑠 𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑦 𝑖𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑚 𝐼 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠?"
