Lenten Outreach 2026 @ Rumah Indah Old Folks Home

On 14 March 2026, Mission Beyond Borders (MBB), together with 20 parishioners from St Francis of Assisi (SFA), carried out a meaningful Lenten outreach at Rumah Indah Old Folks Home, Kuala Lumpur. The morning was filled with joy and warmth as the team spent time with the elderly through prayer, music, songs, light exercise, games and fellowship over tea. The smiles and laughter shared truly reflected the spirit of the day. Ms. Helen, the caretaker expressed her happiness seeing the inmates’ spirit uplifted through the daily provisions, fun activities and most importantly the genuine interaction and companionship from the group.
This activity also fulfilled the SFA Lenten Outreach 2026 theme; walking with the poor, the forgotten and the small. It was a beautiful expression of SFA’s missionary discipleship, being sent out to bring Christ’s love beyond the walls of the church, reaching out to those in need with compassion, care and presence. MBB extends its sincere appreciation to all SFA donors and sponsors who have made this outreach possible. Heartfelt thanks are also extended to all SFA parishioners who came and supported the event. May all of us continue to be instruments of His love, especially to the forgotten and the vulnerable.
