On 7 March 2026, the Mission Beyond Borders (MBB) of St. Francis of Assisi (SFA) Church visited the Ceam Vabawk Myanmar Children Learning Center in Pandan Perdana as part of its Lenten Outreach 2026 program. Established in 2020, the centre currently cares for 24 refugee children and has become more than just a learning space, it is a safe place where the children can grow, learn and find hope. This outreach continues MBB’s mission of sharing the blessings of the SFA parish community with the marginalized, particularly vulnerable groups such as refugee children.

During the visit, MBB members and parish volunteers spent time bringing joy, friendship, and a sense of community to the children. The centre was filled with laughter as the children participated in fun activities including balloon popping games, statue dance, and a paper plane competition, which encouraged teamwork and mutual support. In the eyes of God, these refugee children like every child are precious gifts and blessings.

As part of the outreach, MBB also presented groceries to the centre to help support the children’s daily needs. The visit concluded with a fellowship brunch, allowing parishioners and volunteers to interact and bond with the children.

MBB extends its sincere gratitude to all parishioners who has made contributions and to the volunteers who generously gave their time and effort to make this Lenten outreach meaningful and memorable. Through such acts of service, SFA as a missionary church continues to live out the true spirit of Lent by reaching out to those in need.
