NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT (Day 2: The Gift of Holy Fear)

“The fear of the Lord

is the beginning of wisdom;

all who practice it have a good understanding.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 instils in us a deep desire never to offend God, not from fear of punishment, but from 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 for His infinite goodness. It leads us to trust in His sustaining grace, guiding us away from sin and worldly attachments.

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝘀, 𝗢 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿,

that we may walk humbly in Your presence,

love what You love,

and remain faithful to Your holy will.
