NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT (Day 4: The Gift of Fortitude)

“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,

for the LORD your God is with you

wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

In Scripture, the ultimate example of fortitude is revealed in the Passion of Christ. Though He faced temptation, rejection, and the agony of the cross, He remained steadfast and resolute. Sustained by the 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲, Jesus persevered to the triumphant completion of His mission.

The gift of fortitude strengthens us to walk faithfully in the path of the Lord. It grows within us each time we choose righteousness, trust in God amid trials, and respond with a courageous “yes” to His divine will.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝘀, 𝗢 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱,

𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲,

that we may persevere and

bear witness to Your love in every trial.
