3 March 2026 – St. Francis of Assisi (SFA) church's Lenten Outreach 2026 first activity, the Street Feeding Mission, was successfully organized by SFA Mission Beyond Borders (MBB) in collaboration with the host NGO, Street Shepherd Outreach (SSO). The outreach team consisted of 4 MBB members, 3 Capuchin friars, 9 SFA parishioners and members from SSO, who worked together to distribute hot meals, mandarin oranges, toiletries and used clothing to the homeless community gathered at the distribution point, as well as to individuals living along the nearby streets.

The outreach brought joy and relief to many of the homeless who received the items with gratitude and appreciation. Beyond the distribution of food and basic necessities, the volunteers took time to greet and interact with those they met, offering words of kindness and moments of companionship. These simple encounters reflected the Christian call to serve with humility and to recognize the dignity of every human person.

In the spirit of the Franciscan Jubilee Year, the outreach served as a living witness to the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi, who called his followers to encounter Christ among the poor and marginalized. The outreach also strongly reflects SFA’s vision of being a missionary Church, bringing the love and mercy of Christ to those most in need. Special thanks are extended to the donors and contributors for the donated items, as well as to all volunteers who generously offered their time and effort to make this mission possible.
