On 15 November 2025, the St. Francis of Assisi ("SFA") parish community came together in joyful unity to celebrate the Biblical Thanksgiving Event Day. It was a meaningful moment to honour the Word of God and to acknowledge parishioners — along with participants from other parishes — who have completed the Bible Study and Lectio Divina programmes in 2024 and 2025.
A total of 37 participants who completed the Bible Study programme in 2024 and 16 participants who completed the Lectio Divina programme in 2025 were presented with Certificates of Achievement, recognising their dedication and commitment to deepening their faith.
The celebration was further enriched by an inspiring session from Rev. Fr. Paul Cheong, OFM Cap, titled “The Word of God: Fire for Our Church Renewal.” He called us to be a community set ablaze by the Word and the Spirit — to become living Bibles, to stand firm on the Church’s 4 Pillars of Holiness, Communion, Participation, and Mission, and to embrace the 8 Habits of discipleship while overcoming the 8 Deadly Thoughts on our journey toward purity of heart.
The event concluded with a warm lunch fellowship, reminding us that the Word of God continues to be our lamp and light as we walk forward together in faith (Psalm 119:105).
