St. Veronica Giuliani was an Italian Capuchin Poor Clare nun and renowned mystic whose extraordinary spiritual life continues to inspire Christians around the world.

At the age of 17, she entered the Poor Clare monastery under the spiritual guidance of the Capuchins. Though she lived a hidden and humble life within the cloister, her soul was drawn ever deeper into the mysteries of Christ’s Passion.

Her union with Christ culminated at the age of 37 when she received the stigmata, bearing in her own body the wounds of Christ. She embraced these mystical sufferings with love, offering them for the salvation of souls.

In obedience to her confessor, Veronica faithfully recorded her spiritual experiences for more than thirty years. By the time of her death, her diary had grown to over 22,000 handwritten pages, providing a remarkable account of her spiritual journey and offering deep insights into contemplative life and mystical theology.

Today, St. Veronica Giuliani remains one of the Church’s greatest mystics, a witness to the transforming power of divine love and complete surrender to God.
