Warm greetings to all in our precious SFA community and to those journeying with us from afar!

Yesterday, 9th June 2023, we had another uplifting session of LECTIO DIVINA led by Rev. Fr. David Reegon ofm. cap. We continued our journey through the Book of Exodus, focusing this time on Chapters 14-16, with 'The Crossing' and the insightful 'Lessons In Complaining' at the heart of our discussions.

This session's lessons were grounded in the transformative power of reflection. We discovered that when we meditate on God's Word, we unveil His great deeds. Also, contemplating God's blessings cultivates gratitude within us. But, if we overlook these blessings, we may unwittingly slip into a pattern of ingratitude and complaints.

We had an engaging group sharing, guided by several thought-provoking questions that allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the teachings and the chapters we read. Everyone shared their insights and personal reflections, making the session deeply enriching.

A particularly poignant moment came at the end of our session when participants each held a candle, silently reflecting on the Song of Moses as it resonated in the room. This act of collective meditation underscored the deeply personal nature of our shared journey.

We've shared photos and a helpful guide from our session for you to browse. They offer a glimpse into our participants' experience and the spiritual journey that we are on.

Mark your calendars for our next gathering! Note that on the 16th of June, our session will commence a little later, at 8.45pm at the John Paul II Hall. This is to accommodate the Mass (The Feast of the Sacred Heart) happening in the church at 8pm. To join us for the next session, register here: https://bit.ly/LECTIO2023
