On Sunday, 17 March, 2024, Mission Beyond Borders (MBB) successfully conducted its 3rd Lenten Project, which focused on providing medical assistance to the residents of the Portuguese Settlement in Malacca. The community led by their Regedor, Mr. Oliver Lopez welcomed MBB activities which included checking blood pressure and blood sugar levels. A set of Oxygen Therapy equipment was handed over to Mr. Lopez and Ms. Margaret, a nursing lecturer residing in the Settlement who volunteers her time to attend to minor medical issues to the residents. A wheelchair and two walking frames were also given out to those in need. Despite being a small group, MBB has successfully raised medical awareness among both the young and senior residents. MBB expresses gratitude to all who contributed in cash and kind to this mission to make it a great success.
