On 30 November 2024, approximately 160 parishioners gathered for our annual Parish Pastoral Assembly (PPA). This significant event served as a time of reflection, discernment, and renewal as we continue our shared journey of faith.
Our 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗣𝗣𝗖) 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻, presented 𝗦𝗙𝗔 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, which aligns with 𝗝𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 and the four thrusts guiding our local church’s journey toward the Malaysia Pastoral Convention 2026 (MPC2026): 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆.
Parishioners engaged in meaningful 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 within small groups, sharing insights and perspectives on the proposed parish plan. The fruits of these discussions will help refine and enhance our Parish Plan for 2025.
We were honoured to have 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝘄 with us for the assembly. In his inspiring address, His Grace challenged us to:
𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 of parish activities and events, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, ensuring no one is left behind as we journey together in faith.
In his closing remarks, our 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴, posed a question: "Are we growing in holiness, communion and mission through our parish activities and events?"
Fr. Paul emphasized that 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. He urged us to foster the work of the Holy Spirit, intensify the practice of the “8 Habits of Effective Christian Living”, and ignite the fire of faith in others.
The assembly concluded with a spirit-filled moment of prayer and worship, as Fr. Paul led us in singing “𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱”, inviting the Holy Spirit to renew, empower and guide us in the days ahead.
