Greetings to all, near and far!
What a wonderful journey we had this past Friday, 23rd June, 8-10pm, as we continued our spiritual exploration of the Book of Exodus. We delved into chapters 20-40, focusing on the theme 'The Ten Commandments - The Spiritual Truth.'
Guided by Rev. Fr. David Reegon ofm.cap., we pondered the intricate values of trust and obedience imbibed in the commandments. Drawing on the wisdom of Proverbs 1:7 - "The fear of Yahweh is the start of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and instruction" - we grasped the significance of holding God in reverence as the cornerstone of knowledge.
To deepen our understanding, Fr. David connected the theme to Psalm 50. He shed light on aspects such as 'The Fear of the Lord’. This cross-referencing with the Psalms enriched our spiritual exploration, intertwining the Old Testament teachings with our daily lives.
